The traditional Texas accent from classic cowboy films is more the west Texas sound, with a strong drawl; whereas the east Texas sound has much more "twang" to it. These materials teach both of these variations and includes recordings of native speakers from all over Texas.

Texas Accents Learning Materials
- The Texas accent materials include recordings of Accent Help coach Jim Johnson guiding you through learning the accent, with a female native Texan reading all of the practice words and sentences. Jim also helps you to apply the Texas accent to a practice monologue, which you also hear from the native speaker.
- These materials include dozens of recordings of native speakers. Jim gathered these recordings over the course of living in Texas for many years. You'll have transcripts of the conversations so that you can follow along as you listen.
- You'll get instant access to the audio and written materials, plus a PDF "cheat sheet" for learning the accent.
- This accent is appropriate for productions of Vanities, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas and other plays. You also hear it in films like the Lonesome Dove series and No Country for Old Men.
- The Texas accent varies a bit from east to west, but you'll hear about those variations here. These materials will focus on a distinctly Texas accent, though in some urban areas, people may speak with a fairly neutral American accent.

- You'll receive immediate access to the materials on your computer, tablet, or phone.
- You'll also get future updates for free!

Most of these Native Speaker recordings are made "in the field" so you will hear such things as birds, cars or other people in the background. A transcription of the conversations is included to help you follow along. In addition to a conversation, most speakers also read a list of words and The Rainbow Passage.
